about

La Paradinha is Anesthesia’s sophomore follow up to 2008’s Wake Up and takes the listener to the depths of wrestling with themes of inevitability: life, death, dichotomy, man against the weight of the ocean, gravity, failure, the loss of heroes, resolution, change, the end of things to come, paradinha, UVB 76, and the like. La Paradinha showcases more organic instrumentation and the band's first experimentation with vocals, but never loses site of the symmetry and textures of their first effort. In one regard the album plays like the soundtrack from a film, but also stands alone as a complete work of art.
